December Manifesto

So it’s the last manifesto of 2012, sad times. But, fear not, I am armed with my 2013 diary full of manifestos…and the random celebratory days. You can pick up your very own here.

Here’s the last manifesto…it’s clear this is a diary for a single person. I’d say a single girl, which I am. Enjoy:

Give home-made things as presents

Call up a friend every single day (just to say hello)

Go to every single party you are invited to no matter what

Dance like there’s no tomorrow

Search out mistletoe & hover around underneath it

Believe in Santa

Say yes

Eat, drink, be merry, be lovely,

And always try to look on the bright side.

June Manifesto
So May went in a flash, and the manifesto too. And this time I’m including a pic.
Do something in your birthday suit (cooking and swimming recommended)
Plan an adventure
Breakfast like a king
Lunch like a queen
& Dine like a pauper* (*who has temporarily been made king or queen for the day)
Have unshakeable confidence in fact, repeat after me:
I am amazing
I am fabulous
I can be anything I want to be.
Wear lots of colours (banish black for a month)**
Laugh til your tummy hurts
& always try to look on the brightside.
**Failed already, black leggings on…

May Manifesto

Each month has a manifesto according to my diary - not sure I have really done that well in achieving each thing, but I like to share, here’s May:

Eat alfresco whenever it’s not raining (maybe even when it is)

Take up a new hobby & a new vice

Give up giving things up

Make your peace with the housework

Wear a nonchalant smile (sometimes wear only this, you old fox you)

Flip-flop it

Whistle whilst you do something (doesn’t have to be work)

In fact,

Play more

Play much much more

& always try to look on the bright side…

Happy Days!

I went shopping at lunchtime today (with my credit card you realise, I have no funds to my name right now) and was lured into WHSmith by my colleague. This is dangerous territory for us as we like greeting cards. Sometimes when I shop I see things and don’t buy them, only to put them off and buy them on another occasion, which is exactly what has happened today. I picked up a diary. Having visited WHSmith earlier this week and spotting the new diaries in store and sensibly stepping away, I found myself armed with my colleague’s 20% off voucher, my credit card and heading to the cash desk because I wanted this diary.

Not just any diary. The 2012 Masterplan for World Domination. Ok so maybe some people think that having a ‘hardcopy’ diary is unnecessary in the digital era but I still like to have one. And this isn’t really a diary, it’s a guide through the year, with some dates being taken over by ‘snuggle-up day’ (March 7th), ‘strange make up day’ (July 7th), ‘no pants day’ (May 11th), ‘do something you’ve never done before day’ (October 17th)…these are just a few. I’m really excited about going through 2012 with it! Each month has a colourful manifesto, I’d list one but I think you should invest and find this out for yourself… If you do, you like I will have ‘a twinkly glint of genius in your eye’ and a ‘very special steely resolve to seriously rock life’. Yep that is definitely me. I’ve tweeted something else that it says too…

It’s from the same people that create other fun items here: http://www.reallygood.uk.com/ (I own none and have only really just been made aware), so if you’re into your quirky stationery and greeting cards, this is right up your street. Roll on January 2012…
